Fantastic Trip to Canada
Especially the clubs in Montreal practise a style, which is very similar to ours. Therefore it is very giving for both the canadians and us.
Shihan Finn was invited to give seminars in Montreal and Ottawa. Montreal is in the french speeking provins Quebec, so he was lucky, that Sensei Hanne L. Pedersen also was there. Her french is much, much better. How long does Finn believe, that he can keep on with "le Kamae ..."?
The trip was set up by Hanshi Robert Panneton – also known as "The Canadian Samurai". So, Finn and Hanne also participated in Hanshi's training and got some new ideas for the training back in Denmark.
Shihan Finn Jensen and Sensei Hanne L. Pedersen also went to Ottawa for one day. Here they gave two seminars in Giri Martial Arts – one seminar for children and one for adults.
Finn and Hanne was also a part of the grading pannel, when one of Hanshi Pannetons students tested for 1st Dan (black belt).
Hanne and Finn was hounored with a membership in "Organisation Jiu-Jitsu International" (Martial Arts federation in Quebec). They use red and white belt for 5th Dan. That is why you ca see Finn with that belt on a copule of pictures.
A special thanks to Hanshi Robert Panneton and his wife, Carole. Also thank you to Renshi Brian Aylward and Sensei Francois Bergeron for their hospitality in Ottawa. And of course, thank you to all the people on the seminars. They all did a good job and we are looking forward to see everybody again!
